DESCRIPTION: APW - Waltham, Riverside, Model 1899, 19J, 16S, 14K multicolor gold original B.W.C.Co. HC with superb equestrian engraving detail, rear with three horse's heads in different colors with inset diamonds for eyes and framed by a rose gold horseshoe with five inset diamonds, front with rose gold horseshoe framing a rose gold shield and surrounding multicolor floral detail, scalloped band, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-SS, circular pattern nickel damascene, s#13049224. Gross weight of assembled watch 66.4 dwt (103.3 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, crown must be pushed downward while turning to engage winding mechanism, overhaul (possibly a stem and/or sleeve adjustment) recommended for this issue, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright plates with some scattered micro-fine scratches, few specks of oxide to winding wheels and regulator; dial with hl below seconds-register at 6, very light hand rub within seconds-register; nearly mint hands; case front opens wide of 90 degrees (to approximately 110 degrees) and has excess play at hinge which has a small bit of metal loss and also a minuscule short fracture to its central tube segment, case shows very light wear, few scattered fine scratches to cuvette and within rear, gouge and depression to inner surface of at cuvette lip from rough past opening(s), reduced engraving detail which is most notable at shoulders, cuvette with several sharp depressions to allow space for diamond culets; tight replacement bow is of larger size and somewhat different color, crown shows light wear; clean plastic crystal.
